I finally got around to making (a very rough draft of my) new header. Long story short: I was never a good take-pictures-with-my-Nikon-and-spend-3-hours-getting-the-lighting-right-and-then-spend-another-6-hours-editing-the-pictures type of blogger. I always have more fun just messing around on photobooth and creating GIFs of them.

On Sale

I was lucky enough to find two really good sales yesterday.

I got black Steven Madden clogs for $20!

These clogs were everywhere for the spring/summer season (Chanel, Jeffrey Campbell, etc) but personally they seemed better suited for fall. I'm going to pair them with boyfriend and a slouchy tee or maybe a white summer dress and a scarf.

I also got a pint of my favorite flavor of Ben & Jerry's ice cream, Karamel Sutra, for $3 even though I had already purchased a red velvet cupcake, a piece of tiramisu and a custard & cherry strudel.

It has become even more apparent to me in the last few weeks how much food comforts me...I doubt that's a good thing but at least I've come to terms with it. Admitting it is the first step, right?

I also got my tripod + wireless remote control in the mail yesterday! Can't wait to take pictures without having to use the self-timer button or my dresser and a pile of books as a tripod.

Now, Labor Day weekend!

finally went to Orange yesterday! their brunch is amazing! so is their orange coffee! I already know what I want to get the next time I go...either the omelette with smoked ham, caramelized pineapple, swiss cheese, and coconut flakes OR the omelette with bacon, sweet leeks, brie, and avocado mousse on top! MMMMMMMMMMM...I got tried the Chai Tea French Toast (chai tea-infused french toast, stuffed with ricotta cheese, served over a chai tea reduction, topped with honey and caramelized apples) and the

Frushi (one was cranberry sweet rice and pineapple and the other was sweet rice with coconut and strawberries)!

he tried eating my leftover Frushi!

the only downside was the fact we had decided to eat outside...not a good idea when it is windy and there is no sunlight! oh well...

I also went into AKIRA last week. I was having a bad day, nothing a bit of retail therapy couldn't cure though. Oh, and by a "bit" I actually mean five pairs of shoes...(it was buy 2 get 3 free!!!)
