Sooooo I don't know if I'm just light years behind the whole world when it comes to everything the internet has to offer (this was probably really cool on myspace, right?) but here is my first GIF post!

I wore this about two weeks ago and took some pictures with photobooth on my macbook.

Sadly, I'll have to retire this maxi dress until spring. Chicago winter...I am not looking forward to you at all (that is, unless I find a camel cape coat ,then I will happily deal with you with a smile on my face)!

You'll have to wait and see! I can't wait to show you guys how these turned out. I already have the outfit all picked out, I just need the weather to cool down a bit. No idea when I'll be wearing pants when the weather is around 90 degrees...Did I mention I CANNOT WAIT FOR FALL??

I decided against staying inside to edit some work and also somehow convinced a few friends to skip class too so we headed to the park and played. the weather was amazing. we munched on some generic samoas. and everyone wore blue (I must have not gotten the memo).

why can't the weather be like this all the time? I talk about the weather too much. I can't help it though. it dictates my mood. like tomorrow...it's supposed to be 58 degrees. ugh...

well spring break went by rather fast...

I didn't do much but I still had a lot of fun, shopped a bit and ate a LOT of good food.

and of course, no good weather graced Chicago so I was stuck freezing my buns off in leggings and a cardigan. bleh. not to worry! tomorrow's forecast calls for a sunny 60 degrees (not nearly as nice as the mid 70s that will be here on Wednesday or the 80 DEGREE WEATHER on Thursday and Friday!!!)

lunch with the family

it was the first time in a while that everyone was home at the same time, so we decided to go out for lunch.

Saturday night I wore a new favorite outfit of mine. Glasses from UO, chambray button-up shirt dress from J.Crew, vest from H&M, tights from Victoria's Secret, socks borrowed from KT, and shoes from Forever21. (you can't see the outfit very well...this is what I get for not being able to buy a tripod and not knowing how to work the self-timer on my camera!)

some other favorite things:

finding cowboy boots in a size 5!! I will be acquiring them during my next trip to Belmont Army, the random bell sleeved hoodie I bought from Target which is so comfy I could live in it, and the current (and somewhat) bearable weather in Chicago

my first real thrifting experience was a success!

I have to take in this nighty to fit me properly but the detail is so worn in and cute, I love the contrasting pink and red and the green and teal.

I was a little apprehensive about this belt because I'm not sure I have anything to go with it but it was fifty cents so what the heck! Plus the shape is really unique

I loved the color of this tie belt, such a dark brown that it's difficult to differentiate whether it's actually brown or black. like my eye and hair color :)

I've been looking for a brown belt and this was exactly what I had in mind!! It's a little big (okay actually it's a large) but I finally figured out a cute way to tuck in up and under (I'll be sure to post a picture)

I LOVE THIS NAUTICAL SCARF. my favorite find of the day.
